Dear parents and carers,

I hope this letter finds you well and excited about the upcoming school year. My name isTarma Neal, I am thrilled to be entering my second year as a teacher at Our Lady of the Cape Primary School. It has been a joy getting to know your children in 2023, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to build strong relationships with them and you.Open communication is vital to the success of our students, and I want to assure you that my door is always open. We can provide your children with the best possible educational experience by working together. In the near future, we will organise parent-teacher meetings, providing dedicated time to discuss your child's progress, address any concerns, and collaborate to ensure a well-rounded education.Your active involvement in your child's education is invaluable. It truly makes a positive difference in their overall experience at school. To stay informed about school activities and announcements, please make it a habit to regularly check our school website, newsletters, and other communication channels. Additionally, consider connecting with us on social media for real-time updates.I will inform you of upcoming events and important dates through the OLC blog, email, or Seesaw. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out via email. Although only three days, the first week can be overwhelming for your little ones as they transition from pre-primary to year one. Rest assured, we will focus on getting to know your children and guiding them through the routines of this new chapter. We've got this!I will send home a copy of our class timetable in week one for your convenience. Please note that library borrowing will be on Tuesday (remember the library bag), the sports uniform will be worn on Thursday, and the coloured sports uniform will be on Friday. In year one, all stationery is shared; there is no need to label anything. Home folders will be sent home each day with any correspondence. Further information regarding homework will be given out in a few weeks once the students have settled in. Thank you once again for your ongoing support. Together, we can create an enriching and positive educational experience for your child.

Additionally, I am fortunate to have the amazing Mrs Lauren King as my EA Monday-Thursday.
Due to the next building stage, the only access to my classroom will be through the glass sliding door near the nature playground. We have a beautiful view!If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I wish you and your families a wonderful and successful academic term ahead. See you all on Wednesday. Warm regards,Tarma NealTarma.neal@cewa.edu.au
