Week 3 Term 3 2024 K a y a , I hope you all have settled into Term 3 smoothly. The students have adjusted beautifully, even in my absence and with a new relief teacher. Learning intensions Writing We've completed our recount writing unit, where students enhanced their text structure, grammar, and use of adjectives. Next week, we'll begin procedure writing, focusing on clear, step-by-step task explanations. Spelling We are introducing the 'aw' sound as in "claw" and the 'au' sound as in "author." We'll practice swapping sounds to create different words using 'aw' and 'au'. Mathematics This two-week unit develops student knowledge, understanding and skills of position and chance.
